      Sagem Router Woes

      Guys,

I'm running my own webserver on my sky bb, i'm having troubles with connecting to the webserver via its domain name internally on my network, externally it works as expected.

I've done the searches and found out thats its because they don't have NAT loopback.

Obviously i could add the domain to my hosts file but then i have lots of subdomains on the server and keeping on top of them would be time consuming (in other words i cant be arsed).

My question is, is there any cracked firmware which would allow NAT loopback on the Sagem router, or failing that could i go out and buy another non sky router (linksys or belkin for example) and make it work on the sky bb, and is this allowed?

      Thanks in advance!

Can you not access them by

      127.0.0.1/nameoffolderdomainisin

That's what I use when working on test sites on my PC (but that is using XAMP or whatever its called)

As for using your own router, its against the T and C's - Thousands do so at their own risk, but its not my job to tell you off for it

      Re: Sagem Router Woes

i tried using 192.168.0.2\subdomain a while ago when i first dabbled in setting up webservers, and it never worked. No doubt i did it wrong so its worth another shot.

I'll try it with another router first. Just seems easier =)

      Thanks!
