      Really annoying Sagem problem

I had the Netgear router initially but it got fried when I accidentally powered down during a firmware upgrade. Sky sent me a Sagem as a replacement, and to be honest, everything seems to work fine, other than one very irritating thing. Every so often, it asks me to log into the router, which I know how to do, but have no reason to. If I click cancel, I'm just left with a black blank page. I have to close my browser, wait a few minutes then reopen it.

Sometimes that works, sometimes I get the same again. This can go on for less than a minute, but sometimes it's five minutes or more before I can resume what I was doing. Even if I do sign in then out again, it can happen again one or more times.

Can anyone tell me what might be occurring, and even better, how to stop it occurring at all.

The Sagem will ask you for a username and password if and when your line drops the connection.

In layman's terms, if the synch fails, then you will get the login box.

Yep, if it keeps doing it check your lights on the router and call sky tech as its a sign of something not being right with your connection.
