Which Netgear router do I have?

Hi everyone,

We have just subscribed to Sky broadband and have received the grey Netgear DG934G router with the internal antenna.

How can we tell which version of the DG834 (v2, v3 etc) the firmware is based on in case we want to flash it?

Yes, the box and the plakky bag are both marked NETGEAR DG934G-1SKUKS.

The firmware is v2.02.34 if that helps.

Why would you want to flash it if you have not even tried it?

The same question would apply if I bought another Sky router. It wouldn't matter which one I flashed, would it? They would both have Sky log-ins and passwords on Sky ADSL.

You do not have to flash them to get the user details. Methods for doing this are on the forum.

By the way, I believe the DG934G is a rebadged DG834G V3, if that helps.

That's the answer I was looking for.

The v3 supports WDS whereas the v2 doesn't.

I have just seen a picture of the Sky Sagem router and mine looks identical. However, the case has Manufactured By Netgear moulded into it as well as a Netgear label stuck on the underside.

This is very odd. Has anyone else seen one like this?
