    Help - Wireless always disconnects once a day

      Help - Wireless always disconnects once a day

      For a bit now my wireless disconnects once every day i think. I could be on my laptop and PS3 and first my laptop would disconnect and then PS3, at this point the laptop cant find any wireless networks and il have to wat a minute before they both reconnect again.

      Anyone know whats wrong? thanks

      You could try a diferent wireless channel, the one you are on may be picking up interference from a neighbours wireless, other source etc.

      i changed it to 6 then it still hapened so i changed it back to auto, dont think its interference as its only once, but the whole thing goes off not just my laptop, dont know what the problem is

      Does the router lose sync with the exchange or is it just the wireless ? Does it always happen at the same time of day ?

      im not sure if its only the wirless but i think the router just complety turns off never checked it when it happens but laptop doesnt pick upa signal from the router when it happens and its near enough the same time in the day

      You will have to establish whether the internet is dropping or just the wireless. You can check this easily by looking at the uptime in stats of the router.

      With regard to changing channels, many find the Auto does not work too well and it is better having a fixed channel. Try Channel 13, very few know that this actually works so it is often freer than 1-11.
