      Dear Oh Dear

This is absolutely removed abysmal. Got a reply from Sky after I sent them an email and they have admitted that they are using their Line Management Tool on my line which is fair enough. But why does every speed checker I'm running say that I'm downloading at no more than 150kbit/s? Christ that's only 3 times faster than old dial up, yet my stats say that I have a 13.8Mb connection? Web pages are taking an absolute age to appear, I've turned off firewall, anti-virus, Spybot, Trojan Detector etc etc etc with nothing running that shouldn't be and not a bit of difference. The router (dg934) is plugged straight into the test socket and has been since 2 weeks after I got connected way back in Feb 08. Will this tool be affecting things THAT badly?

DLM doesn't affect download rates, so if you're syncing @ 13Mbps then the drop off is something PC related...

Yep - I don't believe DLM could affect your throughput to that extent. To the best of my knowledge it just adjusts ADSL mode, sync and interleave settings.

      To have a 13meg sync and a 150kbps throughput I'm guessing you're wireless.

Nope, router is plugged in directly to test socket, I then have cat5 cable from laptop to router, I have chnged the cat5 with another that I use to ftp to my xbox but that's made no difference.

Hmmm, possibly but it's weird that it only started after Sky upped my speed to 13Mb, before when I was on 10Mb I was rock solid with no problems at all, anyway this morning they have knocked me back down to 10Mb and everything seems to be ok now.
