      Chap authentication fail

Hi guys, I'll try and keep this short!
I was supposed to migrate to sky on the 11th september. On the 15th my current ISP went off.
On the 19th my current Netgear router shows upgrade from 512k to 5meg but Chap authentication fail.
Have been trying skys same Netgear router (DG834) since then but same error still Chap Fail.
I thought Chap was method of verifying Username and password? (Challenge handshake) but the sky box has no username or password input. So have BT done their bit and its not worked or am I only half way there with the upgrade?
Wish id stayed where I was now

The Sky Router has it's log in and password built in to the firmware.... It is Sky's way of ensuring people use their router as per the T&C of the contract.

I have, almost every day since the 11th. Every time they just tell me it'll be on by X time and to ring back if its not which I do, more impatiantly each time I wait on hold for 30-50mins to hear the same thing

I have still not been activated, my router is showing downspeed of 576k and CHAP authentication is failing.

I spoke to BT Wholesale again this morning to see if there was anything that they could do, (activation should have been 14th Sept), but they said the Sky have to make the call to them.

My order tracker says status unknown.

I explained my experience with the Sky provisioning team & she said that Sky's methods were absolute rubbish, & that she couldn't believe that I was having to chase.
She said that Sky need to chase this, and said that all they have to do is make a call to the BT Broadband fulfilment team.

Does anyone know how to get straight through to the Sky Provisioning team, without having to go through customer service first?
