Unhappy Sagem can't handle two connections

Great forum guys, shame your help is needed.

I'm on the Max subscription. (connected directly into BT master socket)

I've got the Sagem Tw@t2504 which is setup and running ok. Wireless connections are pretty weak and disconnect from time to time.

However, I have a constant problem that when I'm maxing out my connection at a nice constant 12.5Mb/s through an SSL news server and use my other computer to access any web page (through firefox) the router will disconnect. It will then reconnect if I power off and on again. (The I.T. crowd has taught me so much )

Now this does not happen if I limit the DL with the news reader software.

This also happens if I download at max and then transfer files over LAN e.g. stream a film over over Wireless LAN using XBMC.

Why can't the router take care of this?

I've got my user name and password (thanks) and will will test with my old standard netgear tonight.

Is there any standard segam firmware and would that solve the problem and help the strength of the wireless signal?

try changing the router's wireless channel - this often improves things., 1,6,11/13 are usually pretty good.

if not, consider switching to wired or getting yourself a better aerial

Re: Sagem can't handle two connections

Thanks mate. I've already changed the channel.
The sagem doesn't have an external aerial.

No one else have this problem?

Think I'll be ditching this router now.
I read that sky detect the MAC address of the router which can be spoofed but how else do they check the router?
