      It'll be fine if you use WPA but not WEP which isn't as secure. Just enter your Network Key and the Router should pick up your laptop. Isitme is correct and I should have mentioned that increasing your noise margin would decrease your speed, it's a bit of a pay off but you may well find it's the wiring as suggested if not then I'm afraid you'll either have to go to Sky or live with the disconnections.

      I'm just gonna give up with it to be honest, I'll probably have to switch provider because we never had these sort of problems with BT and we were on a smaller package back then.

      It does not matter much which ISP you go to, if they supply a high speed connection you are going to have problems. Did you try plugging into the TEST socket, behind the Master socket faceplate. What stats did you get from there? Did the noise margin rise?
