You are syncing at 2880 down. I guess that could be interperated as upto 8000. Is that a sky router you are using ? ( oops silly me just noticed you arn't on sky ) We would need to see your line att to see if more is possible.

could you post the other router stats (click the show statistics button at the bottom of the page you got the above info from)

at the moment you are connected at 2880 down and 384 up

edit: also removed additional info from your post that was not needed

with your high attenuation you are getting about the right speed (with a perfect line you may get another meg)

is there a particuar reason for wanting to know ? (are you having problems)

Re: What speed am I getting?

No, I am not having any problems but I have just switched from bt to sky and my package is for a speed up to 8mb. I thought I could get about 8mb with sky but I do not think my line will support this. Actually I am quite pleased with sky, the activation was trouble free. Thanks for your help.

Re: What speed am I getting?

With perfect line conditions you could expect around 3200, so the 2880 you have aint bad. You could try a check in the test socket to see if that improves things.

Thanks that's fine for me, quite happy with the speed, a bit faster than with bt. Cannot complain for 5 a month.

I have getting these now, does that mean my speed goes up and down during the day? It seems I am getting a faster speed than yesterday? Am I correct? I am all new to this. Thanks
