      New Firmware config changed

I got my update lastnight and noticed that the 20??? section is no longer saved, this contains account and ip information uneeded by sky. It also contains the DNS setting if you use openDNS. My router still has it's DNS settings at the openDNS setting.

      Re: New Firmware config changed

They shouldn't have been there in the first place, because the configuration file should really only have the items that you're allowed to change in the Sky customised user interface. If Sky had wanted you to be able to change the DNS settings, they wouldn't have removed the DNS settings from the user interface.

For now, the only options are to keep things as they are, or reset to factory defaults.

      Re: New Firmware config changed

Can you change the DNS server which the router uses to OpenDNS instead of changing it on every laptop and computer?

      Re: New Firmware config changed

There are a number of ways of doing it, if you've got the original firmware on your router. But for now, I don't think you can do it if your router's been updated.

Unless it is a problem with my master socket as i connected the xbox 360 with a extension socket and ethernet cable.
