      If you could not get on line with it and another router could, there is a good chance that it is faulty. Return it using the Freepost address and put a sticker on it to that effect.

      Depends if the person wants to use the Router with Sky or not and whether they were leaving any of the Sky FW intact

      I believe that if he cancelled within his cooling off period then he would need to return it, if the contract was terminated early outside of this then it's down to whatever the contract says (I believe that it is his to keep/bin/burn/have a tea party with).
