      Help Please Someone

      Last friday my sky routers internet connection stopped
      I was on the internet until midnight that thursday and suddenlly it stopped on the friday

      Ive called up sky 9 times, and they dont have a clue what they are doing
      they said they would send me a new router...that was last sat and still nothing
      So i went out and bought a net gear router myself
      and still no joy
      I dont no wether its my connection coming through or if someone has taken my connection


      All of the lights are flashing except the internet one
      Ive been onto the admin bit of the router and it constantlly says connecting


      What can i do
      I need it for work and am desperate for it back

      Someone please help me!

      Hi Domosaunders58.
      First, do not mention to Sky that you use the connection for work, they do not provide it for other than "social and domestic" purposes.
      Have you tried to connect at the test socket of the master phone socket?
      Is the phone working at all (you do not say if you used a mobile to phone sky)?

      Sky and BT have both tested my phone line and its fine
      I have put it by 3 phones in my house and nothing
      I really dont no what to do anymore
      Could someone have stolen my internet connection

      Have you tried the test socket of the phone master?

      Have you tried differant filters?

      The new router which you have got, You will not be able to get on to the net, but dose it indicate that it has a steady DSL light when you connect it to the phone line?

      Yeah with the new one the DSL light is on
      everything but the internet light
      so does that mean i can connect to the internet until they send me a new router?!?

      Yes, looks like a new router is needed. But just try using the cable that came with the new router (the phone one) with the Sky router. you might be in luck.
