      Post device manager

I installed sky broadband yesterday and it seems to be running fine.the only problem I seem to have is that my pc keeps telling me that new hardware has been found.the hardware is a atm network controller and a base system device.no drivers can be found for these and the device manager shows yellow question marks on these devices.is this normal when sky broadband is used?
      thanks

      Re: device manager

ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) is a completely different protocol to Ethernet, (its faster, running at 155Mbps on Cat5, or up to 2.4Gbps over fiber). If you get a driver, it won't be of much use unless you have other ATM Card and switches... which aren't common.

good chance the Driver will be on your motherboard installation disk

      Re: device manager

I think I have found the problem now. I had to uninstall the drivers for my adsl pci modem to get sky broadband to work , but I had not removed the modem from my pc.
many thanks for taking the time to help me with this problem.
