      Non Sky Router

      Is it possible to use a non sky router?

      I was going to buy the Netgear Next wireless N for better range

      Will sky give me my user name and password or can I get this from anywhere?

      If you have the old white router then yes you can use this Sky Netgear DG834GT utility version 0.3 click get username and password, then backpage to the first screen and download cfg file and open it with wordpad.

      If you have the black Sky router then it's tricky, there is a proceedure on the home page of this forum to get the information but it involves flashing the router, dangerous as you could kill the router.

      And no Sky won't give it to you. It's in the terms and conditions that you use there router.
