Does new firewall rules overide the defualt rule?

Just wondering, do new rules overide the defualt rule?

I.e. if I where to forward an Inbound port to my computer, would it overide the Block All Inbound Ports default rules assigned to inbound ports and block all except those I add to the list?

      Thanks

Yes it works exactly as you want it to.
The firewall applies rules one at a time, when you add a new rule it will appear in the list above the default block all rule. As you add more rules you can change the order in which they are applied.
You may have to define a new service in order to add a none standard port. I use a high number port to give me VNC access onto my sisters PC to provide tech assistance, and had to define a service on her modem on the port I wanted to use.
There is no p in Thomson.
