Just as another question, if sky replace your router becuase it broke in its warranty period, does a new 12 month warranty period start from the date you get your new router?

Re: Warning About Sky and Routers

well thats good.....i turned my router off when it was upgrading so i completely killed it.....they sent me a replacement promptly and said to return the broken one.....but lazy as i am i didnt bother so i kept it....then i learnt how to flash the device and got it working....the great thing was that it didnt erase the username and password...which means i can connect any of the routers to my net with no problems.....

Re: Warning About Sky and Routers

I got my original DG834GT in sept 2006 and called them for a replacement a few days ago ( sept 2008) , so definetely out of warranty, but I had no problems getting a new router and no delays in getting it .. so looks like they may have fixed this issue .

Re: Warning About Sky and Routers

It would appear that Sky are sending out replacement routers on request.

We should really unsticky this as it is a none issue as far as I can see.

I dunno - I read all 67 replies, only to get to "no longer relevant". Typical!
