      Re: Sky Lock Down

No disrespect, but if you signed up for Broadband without reading T and C's then that was a foolish mistake. You could have agreed that Sky owned your house after 1 year. (just to push the point home)

with out a copy of terms and conditions am i bound by them
Yes - You agreed to them by signing up and accepting connection etc.

i havent technicaly signed any contracts either!
If you ordered by telephone, that would be classed as a verbal contract.

Which router is it? Both the V1 Netgear (White) And V2 Netgear (black) can only have the Username and Password found from within them using the info on this website. If the V2 Sagem, there is no known method of extracting the details.

Are you actually having any problems, or do you just want to use your own router?

      Welcome aboard btw

PS If you have been connected for less than 8 days, you could always cancel without penalty if that unhappy.

      Re: Sky Lock Down

I am really lost here, 54mb is more than enough bandwith and that would only affect your wireless as in transferring between PC to PC.

The maximum speed Sky offer is 16mb so even with a 54mb wireless connection you would have more than enough headroom.

If you could explain what you mean a bit more someone maybe able to help you.

      Re: Sky Lock Down

      Lets start with the basics

      1) Which router is it? White, Netgear Black, Sagem Black

      2) Have a read of this page and copy and paste your stats as below

Sky User - The unofficial support forum for everything Sky! How to get your router statistics

This covers the V1 and V2 routers, if it is White, use the V1 guide, if Black, use the V2 guide.

      Example:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 6976 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 45.0 db 27.0 db
Noise Margin 7.4 db 9.0 db

edit: moved to more suitable forum
