      New Black V2 Router on it's way :)

      When is the Update coming along???

      I just called Sky, got through to Tier 3 support who were going to run some line tests but since I wasn't at home they couldn't do anything.

      Whilst I was on the phone I thought I would be a little cheeky and say my Router wasn't functioning properly (in fairness it isn't). The guy agreed to get me a new Router sent out. When I asked if it would be the new Black router he said yes!!

      It'll be with me on Monday so i'll let you know then if I have infact got a new V2 one or if they've given me another V1.

      Also, once it's all connected up (if it's a V2) I will post my stats.

      To add to this, I have read that Sagem and Netgear make the V2 Router..

      If so, which is better?

      Do they both have the same interface and which one should I hope to get?

      both pretty much the same - altho here are VPN issues with the sagem...

      and almost all replacements (unless they send just the box, no cables) will be the V2 router...

      In 15 months with Sky BB the old Silver router
      has never let me down.
      It worked straight out of the box and I did not use the software.
      I just hope Sky do not force me to upgrade
      or switch to the new router.

      AOL did force some customers to upgrade a router they supplied
      about 18 months ago. It crashed some peoples computers.
      I got out before it happened to me.

      AOL were supposed to have done extensive testing.
      They ignored numerous customer warnings that the
      upgrade did not apply to the Alcatel Speed Touch.
      Like many others, I posted on their message boards.
      E- mailed and telephoned.
      Did AOL listen?
      Hell no.

      Heey could u let me know if u do indeed get the V2 Black Sagem Router? Keep us posted
