      Thanks for that.

      I suppose I could site my router near the faceplate and run the cat 5 cable, but it would not be easy to find a route other than via the loft and back down. I could also buy a wireless card/usb device for my PC to save the cable.

      But first I would have to test the router at the BT interface, possibly with my laptop.
