      Re: Router disconecting

I've been having similar problems but I've only ever had a Sagem and been connected since mid December.
All problems have been during the last week.

      Current stats are:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15323 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 19.0 db 8.4 db
Noise Margin 10.1 db 16.5 db

However my throughput (actual testing done via astra news) shows my speed to have dropped dramatically!?

I'm getting about 704KB/s, whereas previously I was maxing my connection and the pc was the slowest point - I was regularly hitting 1760+KB/s.

The uptime was showing over 700 hrs, but the WAN was only showing 40 minutes - I've just rebooted and and running a download at 1600+KB/s again!

I'm wondering if a weekly reboot is needed? Is the log causing problems? I leave UPnP on (saves faffing about with port forwarding, which is easy but as I don't do much downloading I'm not fussed) so although it doesn't affect things as with the old v1 Netgear, could it still cause probs?

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but as they were similar problems...

      hapless

      Re: Router disconecting

Did anyone happen to ever suss out what was causing this problem ?
I have the same Sagem router as described. I just about got to register here
due to so many disconnections happening. This is a recent problem for me and never happened before so I am very confused as to why it is happening now and it didnt before. I looked on skys site but its not very helpful I found nothing about ADSL TRANING .. I mean what is that ? did anyone ever find out ?
Im glad I eventually found this place here through a search engine as I was getting very stressed with skys own help.
I hope someone can tell me what its all about. Thanks.

P.S are there any known recent works going on which are causing a totally crap service ?

ADSL training is DLM. Please keep to one thread and we will help you without tripping over each other on dupe threads.
