Can't connect to wii, psp or Ds?

      Using my
      PSP
      Nintendo DS
      Nintendo Wii

I can't gain access to the Internet, i have completed the settings, with the correct IP, i have used the correct security code, and on all three, i get errors about connection failure.

      Any ideas/help?

      Thanks

wired or wireless? I guess wireless.

If so have you put any settings in the router to do MAC address filtering?

You say you have put in an IP - "with the correct IP", Have you tried without. I know on the PSP, You dont have to input anything extra, Other then the WPA-PSK Key, Which can be found on the Card that came with the router (providing you havent changed it) and the rest it does automatically.

That was what i tried originally, then i tried with a specific IP and so forth. . . . but same error continously, and when it happened with all three, i realised it cant just be the console. . . . .

Re: Can't connect to wii, psp or Ds?

Well i guess that means you dont have access control switched on?

If the tick is not in the 'access control' box then this isn't the problem. Access Control limits access to the router based on MAC address that you have specified. With AC off then any device can connect to the router (as long as it has the right passphrase of course).

      So:

check that you have the right security setting in the games console (ie WPA as opposed to WEP). Double check that youhave the right passphrase includings caps etc. And also make sure that you are trying to connect to your router and not a neighbours (sorry if that sounds patronising, but sometimes it can be the obvious).

If that doesn't work, then see if you can connect with a wired connection to the router.
