Connection issues, DOS Attack in Log

      Hi all,

I've recently been having issues with my internet connection, and after checking my log i've noticed a few DOS attacks.

      Could this be related?

It seems that my "LCP" is down and then comes back up again a minute or so after. We've had faultless internet usage for the past 5-6 months and all of a sudden its started.

      Anyone?

      Cheers

      Gav

Can you post your Router stats for someone to have a look to see what may be happening.

Re: Connection issues, DOS Attack in Log

^^^ With a line attenuation of 23db you are very close to your exchange and should be getting a much higher speed but your noise margin is holding this back and probably causing the disconnections as well. You also have loads of errors.

Try your router in the master or test socket if you have one and post the stats again from there. Also check that every extension (including Sky TV boxes) have ADSL filters plugged in.

Re: Connection issues, DOS Attack in Log

There is only one socket in the house and the phone and router are both connected to the same socket.

I'm going to dig out another filter, and then try plugging it directly into the master socket without the test socket (removable face plate)
