      Re: Wondering...

if you have one of the old netgear routers, you will be able to extract the username and password for use in any router you want (but this is against sky's T&C's)

if you have one of the new sagem or netgear routers, then you cannot get the username and password and will not be able to use another router

Edit: when i say "if you have" i am refering to which router sky issued you when you signed up

You need an ADSL modem for your broadband to work. If you are asking about using a D-Link router with no modem incorporated then the answer is no, unless you put a modem between the router and the line.

If 90.210.118.98 is not your IP address, you may be sharing a proxy or NAT gateway with other users. If you have configured an HTTP proxy in your browser, disable it and try again
yh sharing my net with the other 2 computer, how to disable NAT? or summin so maybe i can get my real IP address??

You don't need to disable NAT to do that. Go to http://192.168.0.1/ and it'll be there on the screen, ADSL Port, IP address.
