      Re: New Sky Router

there have been issues with Connect customers not being able to browse anything (although they can ping/telnet fine) - dunno what that is though and if it's related...

      Re: New Sky Router

Yes i am connect customer due to lack of lines on exchange for now and when i rang last night she said there are known issues with browsing right now. I dont buy into that as i was surfing one minute then made cuppa tea and rebooted PC and couldnt get back on. After rebooting router and PC i did get back on. Anyway last night i finally got on router via ethernet cable and could change settings.

      Re: New Sky Router

Erm there have been issues for some connect customers (intermittant browsing) for more than a week now. What you "buy into" is up to you but the connect issue is real and is annoying a number of people.

      Re: New Sky Router

It certainly is NOT a connect issue as same router played up at old address. So as suspected it was a router issue and Sky are replacing it straight away. Yes i am allowed to not buy into an idea and in this case i was proved correct as my symptoms were not the same as those of another connect customers. Thanks for everyones help and we can put this one to bed now.

      Re: New Sky Router

out of interest - could you ping the router and/or websites by URL/IP address? if so, then yes you are suffering the same issue as other people - if not then it is a router issue...

      Re: New Sky Router

hi folks. I posted a problem regarding issues where i couldnt connect wirelessly to external websites, although i was able to ping them and resolve DNS etc from the wireless device.
Is this the kind of problem you are describing above, IANTEnemy?
