Unhappy Is it possible to revert to sky firmware AFTER a netgear firmware revert?

      Hi
having lots of issues with wirelss on my new sky black router.
if i were to follow the guide to resetting / reflashing to netgear router to get my id and password (so i can try my working old faithful netgear 834gt) is it possible to flash the sky one back to 'sky' firmware?
not sure if i'd need to enter the id and password into some sort of config file prior to reflashing as i dont think this is held in the sky version of the backup / restore util...

Its not (yet?) possible to get the username & password from the new black routers, or are you saying you also have the old white netgear as well?

Re: Is it possible to revert to sky firmware AFTER a netgear firmware revert?

sorry for any confusion. I have a netgear DG834GT white - offical netgear one, which i bought and used with pipex.
I've just got the Black sky branded DG934G (T?) and having read the info on this site, assumed it was possible to (downgrade?) the firmware back to netgear one, to recover the id and password.
so if it's not possible to recover the id password from the new black router, then i guess this is a none starter... ;-(

      thanks for replying anyway

Re: Is it possible to revert to sky firmware AFTER a netgear firmware revert?

there is no way at present to get the username/password from the black routers....and supposedly there never will be as they're meant to be rendered useless if flashed...

why not try and plug the white one into the black one via ethernet and use the white one as a wireless gateway? im sure someone here could tell you how its done
