    What is/does UPnP do

      What is/does UPnP do

      As in the title whats it do/for?

      It stands for Universal Plug and Play. Someone else will be able to give you a better description of what it does. For me the only thing i've noticed it do is allocate ports to utorrent without me having to set a manual port behind the router address which I had to do when I had upnp disabled.

      Mainly it crashes routers, well every router i've ever owned but like the other poster said it will automaticly open ports needed...
