then it would appear that's your lot - maybe even moving to gdmt would help things stability wise but if the test socket is the same then its probably a bad line

Re: Is this the quickest i can get on ADSL2+?

I have now switched over to the new grey router and have these results.

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 0 0 0 0 0 00:00:00
      LAN 100M/Full 199 334 0 2579 1075 00:00:47
      WLAN 11M/54M 0 0 0 0 0 00:00:00
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8703 kbps 637 kbps
Line Attenuation 36 db 10 db
Noise Margin 7 db 19 db

Seems the newer router is alot better.

Re: Is this the quickest i can get on ADSL2+?

Yes it was 38 with the old white router. It then changed to 36 with the new grey router. Im lucky enough to have two routers as Sky sent me another router when i had a stale session? They both work but the new grey one has far better results it appears. When i was on G.DMT my attenuation was 32.
Does this proove that the old white routers are inferior?

Re: Is this the quickest i can get on ADSL2+?

i think the new ones are supposed to be better (but only from reading posts on here, the new routers have a different firmware which will certainly be more up to date than the white ones)

saying that, if you went back to the white one you could use mognuts utility to change your connection to Gdmt an this may increase your speed and stability (as suggested above in another post) and also give you a bit more control over your conection. the new grey routers do not as yet have any way to "tinker" with anything

P.S, could you post your stats after a full day, as your first post only had about 6 mins and this would not show if there are any real problems on your line
