Is there a way to tweak the SNR without having to enter it after every reboot?

This is a discussion on Is there a way to tweak the SNR without having to enter it after every reboot? within the Sky Router forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; Isitme, I think he means 133 Units (16 Units = 1dB)...

Ahh yes, I see now. But now I am more confused If the default for the router is 100, 100/16 = 6.25dbs. I have always understood that the router was set to 6.9dbs, which would be more like 110 units. Or am I comparing apples and pears?

I found that if i set the SNR to 8DB the speed would drop and my DB would be 8.7 - 10DB but if i set it on 7 or 100 my DB is 8.7 but a quicker snc speed
