Using Sky Router with Another ISP

Is it possible to use my Sky Router with another ISP? I replaced my own Sky Router with a better netgear model and now my original sky router is redundant. A friend's router has just packed up and I have offered to give her my old sky router. Trouble is, she is with Wanadoo.

I have access to my config file; can I overwrite the username and password with my friend's Wanadoo login details, upload it and expect it to work?

      Grateful for any suggestions.

Re: Using Sky Router with Another ISP

It can be done by flashing it back to Netgear firmware to gain access to the username and password setup BUT before you go ahead remember it is against Skys terms and conditions not to use Skys router, so if you ever have any trouble with your connection and need to involve Sky if they find out you are not using there router they are unlikely to offer you any support. So for the sake of 30 it might be worth hanging on to it just in case.
