      Sync Speed getting lower

      Hi All.

Joined Sky 3 months ago and everything was fine until last week when the bt line was damaged and had to be replaced. The voice part wasn't working but the internet was still ok though i noticed the sync speed dropped to about 5500 from 8000.

Now everytime i reboot the router to get back up to the 8meg service the sync speed keeps getting lower and even went down to 2600 at one point.

In short after reading through the forums i get the impression sky caps lines that have a lot of errors. Since i now have a new cable installed can sky put my sync speed back up?

      Thanks in advance.

      Re: Sync Speed getting lower

could you post your detailed stats (look for mognuts utility in first link of sig)

you SNR is quite low which makes me think you are not capped (could be wrong)

      Re: Sync Speed getting lower

stats do not look to bad (for a short period of time), but with your attenuation you should be syncing higher, could you do a test set of stats from your test socket (if you have a master socket with 2 screws on the front, unscrew and you should see another socket behind)

plug router in on its own (using filter) then do a reboot of the router and post back

i just want to see if your SNR goes up in the test socket (this will rule out your home wiring)
