      I wouldn't be in too much of a rush to get one, reports elsewhere on the forum of poor wireless range and settings locked down alot more than the V1! One guy reported you cant even switch off wireless sercurity to set up range extenders etc. and no hack available as yet.

      The "one guy" is wrong wireless security can be changed and has the same options as the older router

      I know at last one of the 'new' routers that lasted all of 5 minutes before turning into a nice ornament. By all means if you have to try an excuse to get a new one try it, but if it's worse than the Netgear, don't start whining...

      So it is not capable of 108mbps, like the 'old' one? That will cut down on complaints right away.

      I have just noticed on that picture, it says

      With the Antenna tight and in an upright position

      There is no Antenna on the router, it's internal and cannot be accessed.

      Yes, apart from the last para it is a straight crib from the 834 which says.-


      "Note: Failure to follow these guidelines can result in significant performance degradation or inability to wirelessly connect to the Router."

      Well after having been offline for 3 days after "THE NEW NETGEAR" router packing up i have been sent the old style one the wireless range is a lot better maybe just the one i had but wait and see if any more go wrong.
