"Sorry, this is so embarrassing, but we've got a new puppy, and he's just pooed on the Sky router. Would you be able just to send me a new one, or would I have to send the old one back to you first?"

"Oh I'm terribly sorry to hear that sir, I'll just send you a new one right away. There will be a charge of 45 for the new box added to your Sky bill this month."

they're not for sale, and chances are if you've just gone live there's no way in hell they'll believe its gone wrong already!!! lol!!!

unless its a genuine stability issue there's no point getting the new one tbh

And like TV boxes you can get a refurb routers anyways. The replacement I got for the one that blew up looks like it has been dropped repeatedly off an aeroplane or something. So I have a feeling that Sky will get all their refurbs out beofre any of the new routers will be shipped as replacements.

Re: Wow!! Is It Possiable Skys Released The New Router?

I would think that the new ones being sent out are on a random basis, Just got in from my Aunts whos Sky went active today, Opened her Sky Parcel and indeed it has a different covering, and a "slip-over" mentioning the Sky Tools but apart from that it is the old Netgear one.

But im sure, Once they start handing the new ones out e.g, New Connections, Fix Stability Issues, Then im sure that they will feel the need to start replacing the older ones.

Re: Wow!! Is It Possiable Skys Released The New Router?

"Since first signing up to Sky Broadband, I've been issued with two replacement routers. I discovered just yesterday that I was supposed to have sent the defective routers back when I got the replacements, so I dropped them off at the Post Office this morning. It was only when I got back that I realised I'd made a silly mistake and had sent back all THREE routers. Would you be able to send me another replacement router?"
