Hi guys, im new to this forum

I've been with sky for about a month now, and in that month i've bought a computer and a laptop (as well as already owning 2 computers). when i got sky it was incredibly easy to set up, before without sky it was hell setting up a network of 2 computers!! even though it was on a belkin pre n wireless router.

I agree with you clactonradio the signal does vary alot when your away from it.
But when i had the belkin pre n i got 2 bars from my living room downstairs, but from this sagem router i get 3 bars.

Also from changing to sky my bandwith has increased enourmasly, as i used to have a 2 meg connection with toucan( but i only got 1 meg) when i changed over i tested my connection and i was recieving 21mb even though i was paying for 16meg (i wasnt even expecting 16 meg) now my all 4 my computers are networked properly, and it was soo easy to network. Each computer gets a 6 meg connection when using at same time (i tested all four)
My laptop gets 4.5 meg connection. I am utterly amazed how fast the connection it compared with my last ISP.

Still clactonradio you could set up the new belkin N wireless router with sky cd. They even give you an explanation on how to do it, step by step.

      Re: Sky's new router?

My new router has finally arrived and I also got one of the new STB looking ones

Hopefully when I'm switched over on the 24th it will work fine

*Edit - I've just been reading the manual and notice it states that only 2 of the "yellow" Ethernet ports are usage currently. That the other 2 are reserved for "future use" can anyone confirm if this is true or not? If so I'll have to connect a hub/switch as I currently use all 4 ports on my current router.

This one time you ignore the manual, all ports work as normal
