      Unhappy IP Address Problem

For some time I have been able to connect to some websites but not others (eg EBay). This happens on all of my computers but not when I connect to a neighbour's network.
The problem seems to relate to the ASDL Port IP address (eg 90.196.237.174). The problem occurs with some IP addresses but not others.
I can "solve" the problem by continually resetting the router until I find an address that works.
Can anyone advise whether this is a known problem? I take it that this address is assigned dynamically but can I set it manually to one that I know works? If I save the router settings as a netgear.cfg file, will this preseve the IP address so that I can recover it on a restore?
      Many thanks!

      Re: IP Address Problem

Nope, you can't keep the IP address. It is not an option that Sky provide. There is another post on this site about sites that do not work for some people, although normally it is a temporary problem rather than one that reoccurs every other router restart.
