      Connection Dropping Every Few Minutes

As per title, I've had Sky broadband since March with very few problems, but over the last week or so I've started losing the connection frequently.

It's been getting steadily worse, aqnd now it seems to be dropping every few minutes.

uPNP is off and I've tried rebooting the router 3 or 4 times, but it's still happening.

      Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

Have you followed the usual advice to plug direct into the Test socket? Your speed looks very low for your attenuation. Also you should run TCP Optimiser to make sure your PC is making it's best connection.

      Thanks for the reply.

Switched to the test socket, ran TCP Optimizer, and touch wood, so far so good, no more disconnects.

Re: Connection Dropping Every Few Minutes

Your attenuation has dropped and your SNR has risen, suggesting that you have problems with your internal wiring, which caused errors to show on your line. This would cause Sky to cap your connection, thus reducing your speed.
Run for 24 hrs and then post your full detailed stats. If I am correct you will have little or no errors, in which case you could phone Sky and ask them to lift the cap. Post your detailed stats first and you will be advised what to do.

But not until the line problem is fixed - unless leaving it in the test socket is an option.

Hmm, trying to get my detailed stats, but that option is "greyed out" on the Bounce Sky Router menu?

Is it paused? Have you changed the log in username password? Try reinstalling it or use Mognuts
