      Re: HELP Please, Keeps dropping connection!!

      "Keeps dropping out" doesn't help much as a description. Is that regularly, irregularly, once a day, 50 times a day, certain times of day or random? Are you wired or wireless?

      If you look through the forum you'll find hundreds if not thousands of posts about connection problems. They fall into 4 groups, the first being the UPnP "bug" which causes frequent disconnects for some users (turn it off), then noise margin problems (see the first sticky in my signature), then wiring/cable problems (see the cabling and faceplate help forum) and lastly wireless problems (see the wireless forum).

      Looking at your stats you certainly have line issues but whether this is a cause or the cause is impossible to say. All those errors can't be helping though so you really need to deal with those as a priority.

      BTW please amend your skyuser profile as you're not on Base.

      Re: HELP Please, Keeps dropping connection!!

      Every 15 minutes is typical of the UPnP "bug" - start there. See here for instructions on how to turn it off.

      If you still have problems then work through the other things as covered in the earlier post.

      SF = 35030395
      CRC = 440673
      LOS = 9540
      LOF = 0
      ES = 15850

      The errors are the CRC ones shown above, normally a line problem or internal wiring. You need to plug your router into the test socket which is "usually" located behind the face plate of your BT master socket. By plugging in there it disconnected all extension wiring, so if things improve you know you have problems with your wiring.
      Master socket is the first one as the line comes in the house.

      Re: HELP Please, Keeps dropping connection!!

      If you remove the screws from the master/first socket and gently ease the front off hopefully you will find a test socket behind there.

      Re: HELP Please, Keeps dropping connection!!

      Plug the router in there and run for a few hours downloading or using the internet heavily to see if your disconnections continue, also check your stats after the period to see if the CRC errors drop.
      If things improve then come back here and we will advise on how to improve your wiring.

      PS: reboot your router when starting the test to clear previous errors in the memory.

      Re: HELP Please, Keeps dropping connection!!

      As said before, you have bad errors and they need to be sorted but I doubt they're the cause of dropping connection 3 times an hour.

      As requested, please turn off UPnP first and also answer the question whether you're wired or wireless.

      You'll find it much easier to deal with this methodically and the easy/more likely stuff first.
