Connection dies, needs router restart.. advise please

      Hi,

Whenever I'm about to do anything really important in WoW () and randomly at other times, the internet connection dies - wireless connection is (seemingly) dropped - no ping response from 192.168.0.1 whereas there is usually. The lights still flash on the box. Occassionally it seems like a few seconds later 'some' data gets through - but after that I cycle power on the router. Then I monitor the status window until it comes back up 30s to 2min later.

Sometimes its just crap and laggy too - I'll check and downstream is sitting at 5.6db or similar. Right now it's at 8.7db which should be fine?

Anyway, I'm really ****** off with this. Any advise? Can I upgrade the firmware? Anything to try?

      Thanks

As everyone else is kipping I wondered if you'd checked whether the problem is the same if you use a wired connection?. Worth a look I'd suggest.

      Anything to try?
If you look through the Forum there are numerous tips on how to improve your connection. I don't want you to feel I am putting you down but if you have a look at THIS section in particular, you will find out how to optimise your connection. If you get no result from there, post your detailed stats and say what you have done to improve things.
