      Optimising sync speeds.

I recently changed over from sky connect to sky max.
With connect I had a very stable connection with no dropouts.
The stats were constant with a sync speed of 8mbps, a downstream line att. of 21db and a noise margin of 5.5db
With max, again I have no dropouts with these stats.
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 14358 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 25.5 db 13.1 db
Noise Margin 8.1 db 12.5 db

      My questions are:
Can rebooting the router reduce the sync speed as with adsl max?
Would it be possible to increase the sync speed and how would I do it?

No. Sky Max doesn't have an exchange based rate adaption process. It rate adapts at the time of booting to the current line conditions(noise). This means that if the noise level changes then the sync will change on booting. So, boot it as often as you want - it won't have any influence on the next boot sync rate.

You're syncing at 14358kbps. Your attenuation would support the normal 15323kbps that Max customers are usually put on. The shortfall is most probably down to line noise. Fix this and your sync will rise.
