      Re: Problems with Messenger

Hi Craig, its good to know im not the only one having this prob! I just got off the phone with sky once again to see if i could get through to tier 3 again, no luck...once again. They say they are not as busy in between 8-10pm. Funny though because the other guy said they are not as busy in the morning time so you will have more chance getting through then. Seems i am just going to have to wait these 3-5 days for them to ring me, if they will ring me at all. I also complained about the time and money its costing to make these calls when i shouldnt really have to. The guy said you can get refunded back the money for the calls you make if you just ask on customer services. Still having the same problems today Craig :| Let me know how you get on. Thanks for them links Sat I'll check them out.

Ok thanks, is it worth doing this flashing procedure to the router at all? would it benefit me at all? And is there a way to get that cap you said i have on my connection turned off? Just looking for some advice possibly before these tier 3 people call me, if they actually do at all that is!

There is a new Netgear firmware just released and, I believe, a new Sky firmware should appear soon. Whether either of these will solve your problem is debatable. If your problem was commonplace and a failure caused by the current firmware then you'd expect to see hundreds of posts on the forum with the same issue. There aren't (Craga89 has joined this thread but it's not obvious to me that he/she actually has the same problem - not enough info) so why new firmware would help it is hard to say.
