    No Wired Connections

      No Wired Connections

      Having a problem with my router. plug in devices and the activity light at each end shows a connection. the problem is that the router does not seam to assign an Ip to the device. any suggestions or do i have a faulty router.

      and yes devices are set to recieve an adress from DHCP , have been swapped from previos router

      Try the reset button on the router.

      Simon - I have the same problem (see latter posts in Unpredictable and flakey) and am currently trying to fathom out why it won't give either of my machines an IP address wirelessly.

      FYI I have turned DHCP off on my router and have allocated fixed IPs for the devices I want to connect to it.
