Re: Help cs server , ip

You mean you need a fixed IP for your servers?
Sky don't do fixed IP, so you need a Dynamic DNS.
Just do a search for Dynamic DNS
It's free if you use one of their domain names.
I suspect that there is some loss of service from time to time while IP's update. If this is important to you, then you should not use Sky! Go for a service that provides a fixed IP ( There is at least one ADSL service that provides a free static IP. ).

      Hi

      192.168.0.2:27015
The IP you have given is an internal one.

The one you should be giving to your friends is in the format of:

      90.203.xxx.x:27015

This can be found by going into your router http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/view-routerstats.html

When you log into the router you will see it on the first page near the top.

Re: Help cs server , ip

I am not exactly sure what you are saying.

The entire point of Dynamic DNS is that people would access your site by name rather than using the Sky IP, for the simple reason that the Sky IP changes. So someone ont he net would not tap in some IP address to access the server, you would tap in it's name.

As Newsreader states, the IP address you have given is for the local network only, and the WAN IP is in the router. To access the local IP from the WAN IP, you need to enable and configure port forwarding. But if you have Dynamic DNS, then you don't need the WAN IP.

So you gave 90.205.98.76:207015 to your friends, but did you enable port forwarding on port 27015 to go to 192.168.0.2 ?
