I can't see any reason why not. You need to configure port forwarding, but more important than that, Sky does not offer a fixed IP so you need a Dynamic DNS service to sort that out.

Re: Wake On Lan through Sky router.

The reason I can think of that this isn't possible because the router can't forward Ethernet broadcast traffic. Well, that was the conclusion I reached when this was last asked many months ago. Actually, even then, I proposed that it might be possible and had a mad idea about using static ARP entries. No idea if it would work because the Sky variant of Busybox doesn't support the arp command. (Crazy!) So, you'd have to cook your own firmware. (Enough said on that, I think - other than I'll add it to my next firmware and give it a go - and no, it won't be going on general release!) Alternatively, it might be possible by re-writing the iptables to support "routing" of broadcasts. I've read of some crazy Heath Robinson attempts to do this but never tried it myself. The conclusion with those pioneering guinea pigs is that it isn't possible via this route either. I'm not so sure but have never got around to trying it.

So, if it is the Sky router that does not allow this is it possible to use another rouer with Sky which will allow the packet through?
      Thanks.
