      bout that sky router

      1)so is it correct that you cannot flash the sky router with an update so that you will be able to use it with another isp if you decided to leave sky ?

      2)i have a 834g router already the first modem which works fine - if by chance my sky router goes up jack creek is there a way that i can use my old router as a stop gap until sky send me another one ? would it enatil flashing the router to obtain the id and passoword ?

      1. no - you can flash the router, using netgears latest firmware - this also reveals your username and password - see the link on flashing the netgear how to do it.

      2. you can use another router to connect - but the terms and conditions say you must not.

      I have done both of the above
