      Calling any Vista experts - router problem with new install

      Just upgraded to Vista (fresh install). Now when I first boot up the network tray icon has the yellow "i" and says limited connectivity. The only way I can get it to work is to remove and then replace the ethernet cable in the back of the router - works fine then.

      Am I missing some setting for getting Vista to recognise the router first time?

      Have you got vista to try to repair the problem? if so what does it say? sounds to me like a ip address conflict issue

      Got to the bottom of it. Turns out it was the LAN adapter needed updating - Asrock 939dualsata2.

      Thanks anyway.
