      Hi,

I had before Sky a Linksys router and a Linksys notebook adapter and they worked excellent together.

Now i have the Sky router i cannot for the life of me get this adapter to work and therefore not go wireless on my laptop.

      The Adapter is Linksys WPC54G

Anyone got any help, as been with Sky since Monday and have had no joy since then.

      Re: Having problems getting wireless

You could use this Sky Netgear DG834GT utility version 0.4 to extract your username and password from the Sky router and then use your old router, It is against the Sky T&C's but no-one is likely to notice. If you have to ring Tech Support for any reason then plug the Sky one back in cos they will soon know if they start running diags.

By now you've probably seen the post by leeharding who has the same adapter:

      He wrote:
"well, i downloaded the update from the linksys website, went to install and it said that i already had the software...

so... i removed the existing Linksys software using remove program and installed the downloaded version (even though it was the same version) and...

      it worked!"
