Take it you have tried it again, or turn loading the Sky firmware from the CD?

Have a look at the Netgear company's user forums and any posting by jmizoguchi. He has links to advice on how to do clever stuff with the reset button that may revive your router.

thanks for the info guys - yes tried the CD it cant find the MAC of the router

i'd like to try that but, after shorting the pins on the flash chip, it still won't work and so its been trashed, sitting in a landfill as i type probably

never mind, it's the first and last time ill have anything netgear.

Maybe he should not have made the details public.

Just noticed Pete's post count (666) do you think that's significant?

      Re: what a balls up!

Lets just clear a couple of things up:

      1) We have a privacy policy here:

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/view-privacy.html

      2) Only the Site founders, Mods, Super Mods have access to IP checking on this forum

      3) NO sky staff (Unofficial or Official) have access to:

      Email address
      Real Name
      IP address

EVEN IF SKY OFFERED US TO COME ONBOARD, PAY FOR THE PRIVILLEDGE AND THEN REQUEST ANY PERSONAL DETAILS OR IP ACCESS - WE WOULD ASK THEM NOT TO BOTHER COMING ONBOARD.

SkyUser does not want, nor will allow that scenario.

The only way Sky would know your details, would be because:

      1) You posted them

      2) You PM'ed them

      3) You rang them up, after going through all the DPA and confirming your identity and then pointed them to a post on here, telling them that is you.

Do you really believe we do that sort of thing?
