      SNR and the weather

Over the past few weeks I have been looking at the SNR and errors on the line which cause connection drop outs.

Yesterday the connection was stable at around 8db then started playing up last night but only two drop outs.

I awoke to a howling gale today and thought to myself that it's going to be a bad day for BB with my phone line bouncing off trees, etc but so far it's the complete opposite and apart from one blip where it dipped to 7.4 it has stayed above 8db.

If I'm right then the attached stats show zero line errors and downstream connection has increased a little to a max of 16052 kbps with an actual of 15323 kbps. I just did a download speedteast and it registered 13051 kbps.
I was thinking of calling BT and reporting a noisy voice line but may wait and see what happens, any comments ???

      Re: SNR and the weather

True to form the connection just dropped out and with the SNR at 8db.

Router has been connected since 10.50 this am and has never dropped beloe 8db.

Errors seemed to have started to build up. Luckily I just pulled these stats before it dropped out:

      SES: 81 0
      UAS: 14 17

You've had a sudden surge of CRC errors which weren't present on your previous set of stats, I would look at internal wiring try the test socket etc if you haven't already done so.
