If you've only just got Connect, please be aware that it has a 10 day training period and in that time your connection may be unstable and downloads slow. The best thing to do is connect your router directly to the master socket and then leave it alone until the training is completed.

You'll find a lot of useful info on the forum - most of it contained within the stickies. A few minutes reading will probably help you understand your current (and future) problems and how to fix them.

Disconnections are usually down to one of two things:
      • the UPnP bug
      • falling noise margins

The first is easily fixed by turning off UPnP in the router. For Sky's LLU services, the second can be fixed through a reboot sequence or by use of a utility - both described in the first sticky at the bottom of this post (warning: you may "damage" your Connect connection with some features of the utility so I'd advise not using it to change noise margin). Connect should sort its noise margin out by itself if left alone. Turning off UPnP can be done during the Connect training period with no harm.

Slow downloads compared to the connection speed is often down to incorrect TCP/IP settings. The second sticky in my signature will sort that out for you. Again, this will not harm your Connect connection.
