    Router Password

    This is a discussion on Router Password within the Sky Router forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; I know what the password was admin/sky but I changed mine and to cut a long story short its not ...

      Router Password

      I know what the password was admin/sky but I changed mine and to cut a long story short its not accepting it, is there anyway of setting the router back to its defaults without logging in, I have tried the solution on Netgears site but it does not work for some strange reason.

      Push a pen into the small hole on the back of it, for about 15 seconds, sets it back to defaults, any changes you have made will be lost.

      I've tried that but the router did not reset, the lights just flashed between the power indicator and the tick

      You don't say whether the router is working otherwise. If you are getting the sign-in box then the router would appear to be working to some extent.

      If you look at jmizogushi's (I cannot spell that name) responses on the Netgear forum I think you will find a link to a more complex way of re-setting the router to factory defaults (like you apply the power with the button pressed or something).

      Yes, you may need repeated attempts to reset the modem. I found with mine that it can actually be very difficult to get it to reset.
