All was fine til i updated mcafee

      hi all (1st post)

      right lets start

i have had sky since jan 07 and have no problems with it at all . all my apps worked without portforwardin anything

so i get a update from mcafee and just have the firewall & virus scan installed all the other rubbish that comes with it i dont wont so have not installed it

Now since the update of mcafee my dc++ dont work properly it keeps saying "Failed to creat port mappings please set up your nat yourself"

i do understand about portforwarding and the UPnP but i dont understand why i have to do this now just because i updated my mcafee

also i have noticed when i go to my router config page it never used to ask me for my password as i ticked the remember box .But now it never saves my password and i always have to type it in even if the remember me part is still highlighted.

any help or info on this would be appreciated (hopefully someone has had the same issues)

i dont need people to paste links about how to configur dc++ as i do no how to do this and like i said before all was working fine til the mcafee update.

Can you try disabling McAfee firewall briefly and see if it resolves your problem?

      litttle update

right now it seems to be fine and i have done nothing since the other day
i did notice tho that while this was all happening in my network connections folder there was not a internet gateway present and now there is ? (but it does say "disabled" not "enabled" which i assumme it should ? ) maybe some one can confirm that
